Popular South African TV presenter and rapper **Jub Jub** (real name Molemo Maarohanye) is facing allegations of failing to repay a **R35,000 debt**, with netizens claiming he owes even more. The matter came to light after **TikTok user Likhona Sukume** shared a video detailing his attempts to recover the money, including delivering a letter of demand to Jub Jub’s home.  

### **The R35,000 Debt Controversy**  

Likhona Sukume alleges that Jub Jub borrowed **R50,000** for an event he hosted in **December 2024**. According to Likhona, Jub Jub promised to repay the loan using ticket proceeds from the event. However, only **R15,000** has been repaid so far, leaving an outstanding balance of **R35,000**.  

Frustrated by Jub Jub’s failure to fulfill his promise, Likhona escalated the matter by delivering a letter of demand from the small claims court to Jub Jub’s home, accompanied by the police. In a TikTok video, Likhona shared his experience, sparking a wave of reactions from other netizens who claim Jub Jub owes them money as well.  

### **Jub Jub’s Response**  

Despite the public outcry, Jub Jub appears unfazed by the allegations. In a recording shared online, he allegedly downplayed the situation, stating that he has faced worse scandals in the past and survived. He also reportedly threatened to take action against Likhona unless he apologized for posting his house on social media.  

Jub Jub allegedly said:  

*“Ask him whether he wants his money or if he wants to go to court. He must apologise, otherwise he'll be sorry for posting my house.”*  

### **Netizens Claim Jub Jub Owes More**  

Likhona’s TikTok video opened the floodgates, with other social media users coming forward to claim that Jub Jub owes them money as well. One couple alleged that he owes them a staggering **R200,000**, while others shared similar stories of unpaid debts.  

Likhona has vowed to pursue the matter criminally, citing Jub Jub’s pattern of non-payment as evidence of criminal behavior. He stated:  

*“I am going to pursue it criminally. There are people he's owing. Those to me are elements of criminality. I was the one who was victimised. It's my money, and it's my debt that is accumulating.”*

This isn’t the first time Jub Jub has been embroiled in controversy. In **2024**, he faced multiple allegations of sexual assault and kidnapping, including accusations from his ex-girlfriend, **Amanda du-Pont**. Jub Jub’s legal troubles date back even further. In **2012**, he was involved in a drag racing accident that resulted in the deaths of four children. He served time in prison for culpable homicide and was later released on parole.
